Many people ask me the question why you should eat healthier. What's in it for them? A lot of people talk to me about they don't really cook at home and they all have take-away food or live off on processed foods. They say a lot of, you know, it doesn't do me any harm. I'm still healthy. It's true that different people absorb food in different ways and one food that can be dangerous to one person may not be dangerous and healthier to one person. What you have to look at is the long term effects of the foods you eat. When you eat the right foods and you eat the right amount of foods, especially fresh foods like vegetables, fresh fruit, fresh fish, you begin to notice that you have a lot more energy. You are a lot more awake in the morning. It doesn't take a lot in the morning to get up on bed and go get to fold or where you go to get ready for the day. So, I think, what's in it for a person to eat healthier is that it's not something that you're gonna see the effects of 3 to 6 months or exactly in one year you will see effects starting with the skin complexion, how you feel in the morning, what you want to do if you place forward to be wanted to [inaudible] and see that it's much easier to do it on you. You eat rice. You cut out on all the junk food. And you just get better and healthier. What a lot of people don't realize is that a lot of processed foods and [inaudible] foods and take-aways which are high on salt and also some additives and [inaudible] is they could take years, anywhere between 10 to 15, 20 years that could start showing up in your body. It starts showing up as high cholesterol and that's when the damage is done. Pretty much when the time gets to that stage, it's very hard to undo those. So taken and there we had a [inaudible] to [inaudible] my health. He's really better. There's no point in you having another chance and not looking after yourself today and save enough your money, working all the hours and not really taking the time to sit down and have a meal with family or with friends or what are we having meal. Because what I found is that most people don't look after their healths when their younger, generally end up spending more time visiting the doctor when they get older. And certainly for retired people that's true that they would spend an awful lot of time and they have to look after their diets. They have to look after their health. They have known some fitness throughout the week. They're going to spend more time going to the doctor. They're going to spend more time in hospitals. And they're going to spend more time spending all that money they saved for retirement on their health. And that's not wise because what you want to do is if you just take the time today to do a 15-minute walk three times a week, cut down on the food you're eating, get rid of all the processed foods. You don't have to get rid of it all. Cut it down to a stage where you have processed foods at the most twice a week. It's a lot easier and a lot more fun to actually cook food and prepare the raw food, the vegetables, the meat, the rice - get it all together and get a, you know, cook it yourself there. Get your children or your partner into cooking. [inaudible] your phone, cooking some real food. But most of all, you know, when getting fitter today by saving your health, you're saving it for the long term. You won't suffer a lot from the things like heart conditions, high cholesterol, blood pressure because you've taken the time. As well as a simple way to follow this, is that if you bought a new car tomorrow, you just won't put anything into the petrol tank or the diesel tank. You wouldn't wash it with just anything. And you'd want to treat the inside of your car outside of your car as if it was just a [inaudible] whatever you thought like in [inaudble] there and not have it. You would take care of theat car and you will make sure that it wasn't reckless. Now what I want you to do is to transfer that to your own life. Eat healthy today. Do a little exercise. You're gonna live longer. You're gonna have more time for your kids, for your family or for your partner. And you're really going to enjoy life when you get older. Believe me. I've seen people from 30-years of age, their health has deteriorated. And it's not nice. So look after your health today. You get one chance in this life, take it.
