Thiret__________ Do you think that the west has watered downed the yoga because you hear about, you hear about hot yoga or you know, power yoga or, have they gotten away from the true, or the purity of yoga and one of its meant to do on what came from India right? __________Tom Von Deck__________ Yeah, like what yoga the meaning of the word is union, the union of a mind and body and such spirit. There is so many different benefits that you can market, that with yoga so, yeah I think that's what they are doing because, the, the spiritual aspect is one thing that some people might, might pursue, but all this other things are, are just a great way to sell it, yeah. __________J.J. Thiret__________ Hmm. __________Tom Von Deck__________ I guess that's how you do it in the west and, and you get a bigger, crowd or people doing it. __________J.J. Thiret__________ So, um, then are you saying there is some yoga that is going on where they're taking in different poses but the meditation part that is, non-existent? __________Tom Von Deck__________ Like, I think a lot of it, helps with meditation there it, there seems to be some meditative aspect to, most of these, things and people really feel good afterward. __________J.J. Thiret__________ Yeah, actually um, excuse me for my experience the first time I went, I did and I was like wow! I mean I felt really calm but it lasted like a week! Huh __________Tom Von Deck__________ Yeah, you're probable more in tuned with your body. __________J.J. Thiret__________ Do you find now that, with what's going on in the world and, how the world of culture is changing that, you are getting more and more and more people that are turning to you because they are, losing consciousness? __________Tom Von Deck__________ I think so, there, there is, there's been a surge, of like maybe a steady surge uh, a little past couple of decades and um, uh, everything is quicker now there's su-, we are in a very rapid, speed society. And, uh the rate of the change just keep it sling increasing. Maybe that's why more and more people are returning to meditation. Everything is happening so fast you to, kind of stop and check in with yourself once in a while.
