_______Madison_______: What are some ways that people can learn to do that, to really be able to communicate to someone on their level? _______Andrew_______: Um, one of the easiest ways of stretching it, if you're a, um, doing a phone call, or video call, I can have right now? Have a sheet of paper in front of you, and it's how a broken to three columns, visual, auditory, kinesthetic, you know, right? And there's also, gastro, which is the taste this, oral, and which is the smell, okay? But the idea here is that, it's the person's talking, the preferred words that they use to represent their metaphors. You check off and notice which one is predominant, to that conversation. That's the simplest way. _______Madison_______: Oh, wow. I would have try... _______Andrew_______: What would you say? _______Madison_______: I would have tried this out, I'm gonna try. Hahaha. No, l'm not gonna try. I'm gonna do it. _______Andrew_______: Do it. And that's a little chichi coz you don't start noticing it and when you're, especially when you're in a group of people eventually, you do remember the times it'll come automatic, you know. This is towards, this is towards, this is, very visual on how they speak, or they are very auditory, well, you know, don't you hear what I'm saying? Doesn't that sound like, you know, you just find all these for words, there's a great book if you want to look at the whole over the NLP, the book from a, New Zealand is called The NLP Field Guide Manual. _______Madison_______: The NLP Field Guide Manual, alright. _______Andrew_______: Yes. It's a $100, it's not cheap, but it's, it's an excellent book because it goes through over 400 processes and it has a, we just talked about it right now, it has 3 stages of all the different words. What're the visual words, what are the different auditory words, the kinesthetic words, all broken down there's, you just glad to see that, and see all that information right in front of you. _______Madison_______: That's amazing. It's like a little chichi. Hahaha. _______Andrew_______: Yes. There's a very cool saying, like, other things you can do is also sense your acuity with people's eyes, at the mirror. You ever heard of that, how people's eyes move, how you can tell what their thoughts are? _______Madison_______: I've heard of this topic, where, you know, if someone, I mean... _______Andrew_______: Looking up, looking down? _______Madison_______: It's more like a, a, yeah. _______Andrew_______: Visually? Okay, so, very simple like, the first thing you need to recognize is the person left or right-handed? Okay? The reason being, is that, if your, preferred through your right hand, it means you create with your right hand, right? So the person that writes with the right hand, looks to the right, they're creating. So, that's for you, we sometimes call it that NLP, they're lying. _______Madison_______: They're lying. _______Andrew_______: Yeah. Because you're not, if you're going back to the past and you're right-handed, you're looking for a left. _______Madison_______: Ha. _______Andrew_______: And if you're looking down to the floor, jamming to the left when the person looks down, they're looking inside themselves to be intuitive. Or some people would say, they're internal dialogue is speaking to them. Like, if I sometimes, you need to talk to somebody and you looked down at their so called, people inside. People generally don't look somebody straight in their face when they're thinking, right? They look down because they're going inside themselves, so that is what's going on, right? _______Madison_______: Right. _______Andrew_______: And sometimes you see people when they're looking straight ahead, is that you think they're looking right through you? There's two things that could be... _______Madison_______: That, that glossy look?? _______Andrew_______: That glossy look, that also be considered as being almost, in um, some people call us being a, a glaze-eyed look, but also can be that state where a person's in very deep concentration. They're not even thinking, they're concentrating. They're totally, they're, um, how do you say that? They're transfixed, on what that, whatever is going on. And you see that a lot of times in movie theaters. _______Madison_______: Well everyone is just staring at. Yeah. _______Andrew_______: They're looking straight ahead coz they're transfixed, because if you ask a person in a movie theater, what are they thinking about? _______Madison_______: They'll say, yeah well, the movie! _______Andrew_______: Right, but what's going on, on their head then, at that moment in time? _______Madison_______: They're so concentrated on what's happening in the movie? _______Andrew_______: Is there, is there any internal dialogue going on? _______Madison_______: Oh, well, aren't they, you know? _______Andrew_______: No, I'm not, I'm asking you. If you're in a movie theater... _______Madison_______: This is amazing, if you think about it. That two, it's interesting. _______Andrew_______: Okay, but if you think about, when you're in a movie theater, are you thinking of, of, okay, what am I gonna do after this? The theater here, all this popcorn sacks a pop. Your mind is actually in that same state as when you're meditating. _______Madison_______: Oh, wow. _______Andrew_______: Because you're not, no dialogue at all. You think about, there's nothing going on. You're totally transfixed. Your eyes looking straight ahead, at the screen.
