Freak out, enjoy on a regular basiss
Are you on your own side? Because most people are not. Can you show yourself the same generosity of spirit, patience, and kindness that you show other people? I'm not talking about being good to yourself by buying things and getting greater comfort. I'm talking about the way you think about yourself. Give yourself a break. When I'm doing something that's fun and joyful, freak out and enjoy on a regular basis. And when you do, plan for the next time. Give yourself permission to let go of the negative. Negative memories and negative experiences are not to be dwelt on because they'll just bring you down. So make that list, do it often and be kind to yourself. Because if you are not on your own side, you will never going to feel good about yourself. Really.
